General Information

The V2CAD program is designed to speed the process of creating CAD drawings from the flow calculation projects by reading the flow calculation project files then applying user-selected parameters as it draws either directly to AutoCAD or writes to a DXF file. There are a number of parameters available that allow the user to customize the drawing as it is exported, including the target layers, colors, text size, pipe labels, etc. These parameters can be saved as a V2CAD project, which can be loaded at a later time to export the project again or to export a new project.

Key Features

Export Isometric, Plan, and Elevation views directly to AutoCAD© (Rev. 2000 through 2005). These views correspond to the views in the flow calculation software. Multiple views can be exported at the same time.
Export to a DXF file for use with AutoCad LT, 14, and other CAD packages.
Export reports as text fields, specifying the position on the CAD drawing, text color, target layer, and text height.
Export to existing or new layers. The current AutoCAD layers can be viewed and selected or new layers can be created. If layers specific to V2CAD are setup they can be automatically cleared prior to exporting. This allows the user to export, view the results, change the V2CAD export parameters, and export again in an efficient manner.
Pipe dimension data can be automatically displayed in decimal or feet and inch format.
Automatically display node numbers, nozzle labels, elbow labels, and union labels, pipe reducers, and hash marks indicating the position of elbows and tees on the drawing.
Draw all of the manifold cylinders and piping.
