Fire Testing — Customized Testing

Hughes Associates' personnel routinely conduct standard and non-standard testing at major testing laboratories to support our clients and to supplement our in-house testing capabilities. Hughes Associates has strong working relationships with the commercial and private testing laboratories in the United States and Canada which is beneficial for our clients when timing is critical. Client support at the test laboratories starts with discussing the test requirements with the laboratory personnel, assisting with contractual and scheduling requirements and test plan development for non-standard testing. Hughes personnel work closely with laboratory personnel in coordinating sample preparation and construction, overseeing or witnessing testing, and conducting appropriate data analysis for final use. Hughes personnel are also involved with the development and updating of the major test standards through participation in the fire test committees of ASTM, NFPA, and UL, in addition to participating in code organization standards and acceptance criteria development.
