Hughes Associates Expands Probabilistic Risk Analysis and Risk Informed Engineering Capabilities - December, 2012
Hughes Associates has formed a probabilistic risk analysis and risk-informed engineering group. Our team of 25 professionals has been providing energy and nuclear safety and risk assessment services to the nuclear industry and other industries for more than thirty years. Their experience and expertise span an extensive range of analytical and management services across a broad range of nuclear facilities, domestically and abroad. Our primary services areas have included probabilistic risk assessment (PRA), safety analysis, licensing, design engineering, plant operations, human factors, technology evaluation and selection, and trade-off studies. The team has supported both existing and advanced nuclear power plants, independent spent fuel storage installations, uranium enrichment facilities, fuel fabrication facilities, geologic repositories, nuclear waste processing facilities, and an assortment of defense nuclear facilities.
Our staff members have been major contributors to the development of the current Risk Informed Regulation and PRA industry consensus guidance documents. Including:
