The M. A. Mortenson design-build team was responsible for design and construction of the $128-million Navy project consisting of 137,000 square feet of hangar bay space, 140,000 square feet of two-story office space, extensive related site development and over one million square feet of airfield paving. This project is a result of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program affecting the Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Maine, and requiring the relocation of six aircraft squadrons to the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla. |
