Hughes Associates Opens New Office in Colorado Springs

Hughes associates Inc. (HAI), a global company leading the Fire Protection Engineering field, is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Colorado Springs. The office is located at 3578 Hartsel Drive Suite E Box142, Colorado Springs, CO 80920-2105. HAI’s Colorado Springs office allows HAI to meet increasing demand for client solutions and services while providing a cost-effective product for federal, state and commercial clients. The Colorado Springs office will provide Fire Protection Engineering consulting services including Design Build Fire Protection Engineer services, city and state plan review services, fire modeling services, and fire protection systems design, to clients throughout the region.

The office is managed by Sean S. Donohue, a licensed Fire Protection Engineer with over 17 years of experience in the industry including 10 years as a code official in Colorado Springs.  He performs and directs engineering tasks; specifically code consulting, systems design, plans reviews and project management.  Sean develops design criteria for fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, special hazards suppression systems, hazardous materials analysis, smoke control systems and passive fire protection systems.  He has been involved in the design of a variety of different projects including hospitality, healthcare, large assembly, government, laboratory, educational and corporate occupancies.
