First, restart you computer. After it boots up, right-click on "My Computer". Then go to "Properties". Then go to "Harware" tab. Click on the "Device Manager". Under the "View" menu, select "Show hidden devices". Next, expand the "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" by double-clicking on it. There should be a device called "Hardlock" under the "Non-Plug and Play Drviers", right-click on it, and go to "Properties". Under the Hardlock Properties, go to the "Driver" tab. Unzip and extract the hinstall.exe and the haspds_windows.dll file to the same folder. Remove the previous version of the HASP Device Driver by doing the following: Click on Start. Scroll up to Run. Click on Browse and look for the hinstall.exe file. At the end of the path, type in -r -kp -alldrv It should look something like this depending on where you put the hinstall.exe file. "C:\...\hinstall.exe" -r -kp -alldrv If you get an error "unexpected setup api error 14...", restart your computer and try the last step again. Install the latest version of the HASP Device Driver by doing the following: Click on Start. Scroll up to Run. Click on Browse and look for the hinstall.exe file. At the end of the path, type in -i -kp -alldrv It should look something like this depending on where you put the hinstall.exe file. "C:\...\hinstall.exe" -i -kp -alldrv If it states that the Installation completed successfully, then try running your software with your HASP device attached to the computer.
