Orlando Hilton Convention Center Hotel, Orlando, FL:
Fire Safety Consulting and Smoke Control Rational Analysis

HAI provided fire safety code consulting services and smoke control rational analysis for the design and construction of the Orlando Hilton Convention Center Hotel. The Orlando Hilton Convention Center Hotel is a high-rise structure, consisting of a guest room residential tower, with lower floor assembly areas and parking garages. HAI reviewed drawings through construction documents to identify major fire safety issues and prepared a Fire Safety Analysis and life safety drawings assessing occupancy classification, construction type, means of egress, fire protection systems, and building separations/exposures. Additionally, HAI prepared a smoke control rational analysis for the building, in accordance with the requirements of FBC §909. During the design process, HAI met with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to identify and disposition the proposed fire safety approach and any applicable fire safety issues.

Building and Fire Code Compliance and Life Safety Consulting

Our staff has been involved with providing code and fire protection, and life safety consulting services to UCB since 2000, including multiple fire alarm projects. One project involved providing code and fire protection consulting services to the University of Colorado at Boulder for their 100 plus building fire alarm network. The new network allowed monitoring for all buildings and maintenance function control from a centralized point.
